MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer is an important player in music in the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN as his debut full-length album. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Vaina Loca is an album that was a Top Five smash hit in 2010, featured him alongside Ozuna. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. Later in 2021, he performed on a duet TINI on her streaming smash single Maldita Foto. A 2023 release of 2000 which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was born into a household of music the mother of his younger brother and father have been musicians. In his interviews, Turizo has declared that music is an essential part of his life. As a child he learned how to play the saxophone, as well as piano and ukulele. Despite initially wanting to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban music teacher could change the direction of his career.
